- Ajax - Feb 1807, burned off Teredos; 250 lost
- Minotaur - Dec 1810, lost on the Haak Bank; 360 perished
- Saldanha - Dec 1811, lost on the Irish coast; 300 perished
- St. George, Defence, and Hero - Dec 1812, lost on the coast of Jutland; 2,000 perished
- Seahorse - Jan 1816, lost near Tramore Bay; 365 soldiers of the 59th regiment perished
- Lady Sherbroke - Aug 1831, lost near Cape Ray; 273 perished
- Amphitrite - Aug 1833, filled with female convicts, lost on Boulogne Sands; all lost
- Protector - Nov 1838; 178 perished
- President - Mar 1841, of New York, lost in a gale; never heard from
- Avenger - Dec 1847, lost on the coast of Africa; 200 perished
- Exmouth - Apr 1857, bound for Quebec, lost; 240 drowned
- Royal Adelaide - Mar 1850, lost on the Tongue Sands, off margate; over 400 perished
- Birkenhead - Feb 1852, troopship, lost on the coast of South Africa; 454 perished
- Independence - Feb 1853, lost on the cost[sic] of California; 140 persons drowned or burned to
death
- Annie Jane - Sept 1853, lost west of Scotland; 384 lives lost
- Tayleur - Jan 1853, lost; 380 persons
- Favourite - Apr 1854, lost in a collision; 201 drowned
- Lady Nugent - May 1854, lost in a hurricane; 400 persons
- Arctic - Sept 1854, mail steamer, lost off Newfoundland
- City of Glasgow - 1854, disappeared, with all on board
- Pacific - Jan 1856, Collins steamer, disappeared with all on board. Never since heard of
- Central America - Aug 1857, foundered at sea; lost 450 persons
- Austria - Sept 1858, burnt in mid-ocean; 471 lives lost
- Pomona - Apr 1859, wrecked on Blackwater Band, through the master mistaking the light; 400
lost
- Royal Charter - Oct 1859, wrecked on Anglesea coast; 446 lives lost
- Hungarian - Feb 1860, Allan Line, wrecked off the coast of Nova Scotia, with all on board; 205

- Lady Elgin - Sept 7, 1860, lost on Lake Michigan; 287 [or 297 depending on source] persons of the 400 lost. Collided with the schooner Augusta in bad weather and at night.
- Anglo-Saxon - Apr 1863, Allan Line, wrecked on a reef off Cape Race, Newfoundland; about
237 out of 446 lives lost
- London - Jan 1866, foundered in the Bay of Biscay; about 220 perished
- City of Boston - Feb 1871, disappeared and never heared[sic] from
- Northfleet - Feb 1873, emigrant ship, lost by collision; with 300 lives
- Atlantic - Apr 1873, wrecked on the coast of halifax; 546 out of 975 lives lost
