On 3rd August 1853, on voyage from Melbourne to Batavia (Jakarta) in ballast and a crew of 14, missed stays when off Cato Reef, Coral Sea, and having no room to wear, struck the reef and became a total wreck. The crew spent 15 days repairing the ships' boats before leaving for Moreton Bay, which was reached on 27 August.

note.— There are very few surviving original lists of German passengers, so the data below has been compiled from a variety of sources, such as contemporary newspaper(s), internet sources, input from descendants and the South Australian Heraldry Genealogy society, (SAGHS).
I know the list is incomplete and may contain errors, so any feedback with additions or corrections, will be most appreciated. Please contact me using the link above. Regards Robert, Adelaide
An index from the State Library South Australia (SLSA) shows that 200 German migrants should have been aboard the Dockenhuden ; I have been able to find 137 as listed below. However, the Dockenhuden did sail on to Melbourne with 120 + German migrants. The second part of this list has names which came from a variety of sources, but not enough information was found to support inclusion in the South Australian List. — Regards Robert, Adelaide
