ship Woden, 300 / 233 tons, Captain H. Matthiesen, from Hamburg 24th May 1853, via Plymouth, arrived at Port Adelaide, South Australia 8th September 1853

The South Australian Register, Saturday September 9th 1853:—
Arrival: Friday September 08, the ship Woden, 300 tons, Matthiesen, Master, from Hamburg the 24th May 1853 and Bahia 22nd June.
Passengers: Mr. and Mrs. Bertheau, 2 Misses Bertheau, Master Bertheau and four servants ; Messrs Jeost, Jaeger 2 , Stoldt, and Meyer in the cabin.

The Argus, Thursday October 13th 1853:—
Arrival: October 12, Wadan, Danish ship, 233 Tons, H. Mathiessen, from Hamburg 24th May, via Adelaide 27th ult. Passengers: -cabin Mr .and Mrs. Bertheau , two daughters, and servants ; Messrs. Layer (2) and Joorst.......
