Compagnie Bordelaise de Navigation a Vapeur was formed in 1880 to run services from France
to New York. The company was not a success and was reformed in 1891 as the Nouvelle
Compagnie Bordelaise de Navigation a Vapeur. They finally ceased operating in 1902.
