The Fleets Canadian Northern Steamships Limited / (Royal Line) Canadian Northern Steamships Limited was owned by the Canadian Northern Railway and commenced operations in 1910 with the purchase of two ships from the defunct Egyptian Mail SS Company. Sailings were made between Avonmouth - Quebec - Montreal in the summer months and Halifax in the winter. In 1913 winter sailings were changed to Saint John, New Brunswick. Both ships were taken over as troop transports in 1914 and the company was taken over by Cunard Line in 1916. Many thanks to Ted Finch for his assistance in collecting this data.
