The Fleets

Companhia de Navegacao a Vapor Luso-Brasileira

The company was founded in 1852 to operate passenger and cargo services between Lisbon and Brazil. They only owned two wooden hulled steamships. Part of the company's capital was held in Brazil and at a general meeting of Brazilian shareholders in March 1857, it was decided that the company would close.
