Società Italiana di Servizi Marittimi - SITMAR

SocietÓ Italiana di Servizi Marittimi (SITMAR) was formed in 1913 and merged into SocietÓ Anonima di Navigazione Lloyd Triestino as part of the 1936 Italian Government shipping reorganization.

Ausonia (1) 1915 built by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg | Launched but not completed due World War I, 1922 sold for scrapping. 11,300
Ausonia (2) 1928 built by Ansaldo SA, Sestri Ponente | 1932 transferred to Lloyd Triestino, 18th October 1935 caught fire following an explosion at Alexandria and beached, towed to Pola and scrapped. 12,955

Italiana di Nav., Naples, 1924 sold to SocietÓ Italiana di Servizi Marittimi not renamed, 1931 transferred to Lloyd Triestino, Genoa. 1934 scrapped at Savona. 4,985
Constantinopoli 1898 built by N. Odero fu A., Sestri Ponente | ex- Citta di Torino built for La Veloce, 1914 sold to to SocietÓ Italiana di Servizi Marittimi renamed Constantinopoli, 1932 transferred to Lloyd Triestino not renamed, 1933 scrapped. 4,041
Esperia 1921 built by Soc. Ersercicio Bacini, Riva Trigoso | 1932 transferred to Lloyd Triestino, 1937 transferred to Adriatica S.A.N., 20th August 1941 torpedoed and sunk by British submarine HMS UNIQUE with the loss of 31 lives. 11,398
Italia 1905 built by N. Odero, Genoa | ex- Italia built for La Veloce, 1912 sold to Navigazione Generale Italiana, 1913 transferred to Soc. di Nav. Italia, 1917 transferred to Transoceanica, 1923 sold to SocietÓ Italiana di Servizi Marittimi, 1932 transferred to Lloyd Triestino, 6th July 1944 sunk by Allied aircraft at Trieste, 1950 hulk scrapped. 5,018
