South Atlantic SS Co.

Founded in 1928 in Savannah, Georgia to operate services between Savannah, Charleston, Wilmington, N.C, Liverpool and Manchester. In 1958 the company was taken over by United States Lines and in 1961 the remaining ships were given USL names and the South Atlantic SS Company passed into history.
