The Fleets
United American Lines
Founded 1920 as the result of an agreement between the American
Ship & Commerce Corporation and Hamburg American Line to establish a joint
North Atlantic service between Hamburg and New York with calls at Southampton
and Cherbourg. In 1926 the ships were transferred to Hamburg
America Line and the company ceased North Atlantic operations.
