Alexander began sailing from Greenock to Quebec in 1819 in his brig Jean, which in 1824 made two trips arriving for the 2nd trip on October 3rd. Captain Allan took this side-trip to Montreal before returning to Quebec and sailing back to Greenock, clearing on October 28th.
