Monday September 23:-The barque Lysander 487 tons, Lulham Master, from Gravesend, 3rd June 1850 and Plymouth 15th June 1850.
Passengers: Dr. Barlas (Surgeon-Superintendent), and 242 Government emigrants. —9th ship from England to S.A. with government passengers for 1850 ; six births and five (?) deaths on the passage

Births: Lysander Barlas Bowles, born 6th July ; Sophia Jane Haines, 14th July ; Jane Procter, 24th August ; Helen L. Gould, 29th August ; Sarah Jane Macklin, 2nd September ; Andrew Guthrie , 17th September.
Deaths: William Lambert, 16th July, an infant of teething ; Mary Ratcliff, 9th August (?), an infant of diarrhoa ; Charles Ratten, 10th August, an infant of teething ; John Reid, a Seaman from falling on his head of an outrigger from the fore-topmast, during a gale on the 16th August.
